Dr. Jaya Dubey currently regular faculty in School of Biological Sciencesand School of Public Health at AIPHUniversity, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.She has more than Ten years of teaching and research experience inthe field of Geosciences, Bioremediation, Municipal as well as Industrial solid and liquid waste management. She has earned P.hD. degree in Environmental Sciences form Jawaharlal Nehru University (J.N.U), New Delhi. Her Doctoral thesis was on “Characterization of Humic Acid from the Composted Wastes of Agro Based Industries: Sugar Industries and Paper Mill”, she completed M.Phil in Environmental Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University (J.N.U) and her M.Phil. dissertation was on “Nutrient transportation in Gomti River”. Her masters(M.Sc) degree is in Environmental Sciences from Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U).Varanasi. She has also done Post graduate diploma in Environmental laws and policies from one of most prestigious Law Institute of India, National Law School of Indian University (NLSIU), Bangalore and she also got Diploma in Geoinformatics and worked on “Evaluation of the Solid Waste Management System Using GIS Multicriteria Analysis: A Case Study in Attingal Municipality” from Centre for Environment and Development, Thiruvananthapuram. In addition to above academic qualification she was also awarded with UGC-Post Doctoral Fellowship for women candidate in 2011, She got Sat Paul Mittal JRF/SRF fellowship during her M.phil-P.hD. (2004-2009) programme from JNU, New Delhi. She is also the recipient of German IHP/HWRP Fellowship, RHUR University of Bochum, Germany (DAAD-UNESCO) program in 2013.
She has strengthen her skills in solid/liquid waste management and its allied fields by participating in various national workshop and conferences, which includes “Assessment of Solid Waste Management System Using Geoinformatic Tools in Attingal Municipality” 2013; “Co-composting of paper sludge and distillery effluent: A sustainable approach for the waste management” 2012; and “A sustainable strategy for waste management in Agro-based industries” 2008. She has also many national and International publications in domain of phytoremediation and waste management.
