Prof. Niranjan Behera
Professor Behera is currently holding the position of Dean, School of Biological Sciences at AIPH University. He has more than forty years of experience in field of teaching and research of biological sciences. He has superannuated from the post of Professor and Head School of Life Sciences, Sambalpur University, Sambalpur, Odisha where he served for more than a decade as Professor and contributed there for more than 30 years. During his stay at Sambalpur University, he was involved in different positions as Head, Dean, UGC Emeritus fellow and have executed several administrative duties such as Programme Coordinator Private Exam Cell, Sambalpur University; Head, School of Life Sciences, Sambalpur University; Director E-Governance, Sambalpur University; Dean, Faculty of Science, Technology & Engineering; Member, Senate, Sambalpur University; Member, Academic council, Sambalpur University; UGC, expert nominee for SAP, Gauhati University;  Chairman, Executive Council, Govt. Autonomous College, Bhawanipatna,Kalahandi; and Expert Member, Board of Studies. Central University of Odisha., Koraput. He has been felicitated by several awards and recognitions including Smt. Veena Roonwal Memorial Award by Society of Geoscientists and Allied Technologist, India for the biodiversity conservation in mining and industrial area; Bhagabati Mishra Memorial Award for the Best Teacher in Botany by Orissa Botanical Society; Dr M Brahmam Memorial Award by Orissa Botanical Society for significant research contribution in the field of Biodiversity Conservation; Fellow, International Society for Tropical Ecology; Fellow, National Environmentalist Association. Prof. Behera has a huge research experience in field of soil microbial, ecology, biodiversity conservation and environmental sciences.  He has guidance 26 PhD students and one DSc student and has executed various research projects funded by UGC, DSTE, DBTE and MoEF. Through his research works he has published more than 100 research publications in different journals of International repute, editing two books and has also delivered key note lectures in various International and National seminar and conferences. Very recently, Prof. Behera has been elected as the President of the Odisha Botanical Society.
