Keerti Pradhan, an eminent health management expert joins AIPH University as an Advisor

Keerti Bhusan Pradhan, a postgraduate from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in healthcare management and a mid-career management of International Public Health from CDC-Atlanta & Emory University programme, is an expert in healthcare management and public health management arena with 25 years of experience working with a variety of organisations in both public and private sector and developing countries.

With his length and breadth of experience, he has been helping and mentoring academic institutions on healthcare human resources teaching and training planning & development.

Besides working with grassroots healthcare organisations, he has experience working with global model health institutions like Aravind Eye Care System (A WHO Collaborating Centre), ICICI Development division helping essential healthcare products and services growth in the country, piloting and finalising malaria control strategies for India through a collaborative project between Govt of Gujarat, Govt of India, British Council, DFID, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine etc. He has helped in developing a south-south capacity building programme to help some of the African countries to get ideas from Indian healthcare organisations and models to customise in their countries health systems for effective and efficient healthcare service delivery.

Keerti has been a pro bono mentor and guide to some of the charitable and non-profit healthcare organisations in the country helping them with good management practices for quality care and financial self-sustainability. Keerti takes up M&E assignments for healthcare projects in Asian and African countries in his free time. He is also a visiting faculty in healthcare management and public health management with some universities in India teaching and training healthcare management students and professionals.

He is passionate about helping organisations in Odisha, his home state, since his days from TISS as a student. He proactively engages himself to share his experiences and expertise when necessary. He mentors and guides Social Entrepreneurs and Social Enterprises with his innovative thoughts and approaches.

His concern over lack of appropriately trained and skilled healthcare human resources in India with a huge unmet need drives him to share his innovative thoughts in developing programmes for teaching and training such quality healthcare professionals to cater to the immediate and future needs of India for a robust and sustainable health system serving people with appropriate quality and safety in healthcare needs.
