International Women’s Day Celebration, March 7, 2020

International Women’s Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm at AIPH University. Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Madhusmita Das, Vice Chancellor, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha joined as Chief Guest to grace the occasion. She had an inspirational discussion with the students sharing her experiences as a woman academician and one of the few female geologists of her time. Her speech highlighted real-life experiences of working women and encouraged students (especially girls) not to shy away from various challenges in life. She encouraged them to face such challenges with full confidence and overcome all obstacles successfully. Prof. (Dr.) Jyotirmaya Mohapatra, Vice Chancellor, AIPH University and Prof. (Dr.) Niranjan Behera, Dean, School of Biological Sciences also shared their thought-provoking insights about the important role of women in society. 
 
The chief guest presented awards and certificates during the event to the winners of the Debate, Drawing and Slogan competitions organized on the theme of ‘International Women’s Day’. Lastly, Mr. Tarun Kumar, Registrar, AIPH university delivered the vote of thanks to the Chief Guest and all students, faculty and staff members for making the event a successful one.
