TARANG: Cultural Program, May 27 2022

 

AIPHU held itscultural program, TARANG, on campus which was primarily organized by the second-year students from The School of Public Health (SPH), The School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) and The School of Biological Sciences (SBS). The entire student community was exuberant and displayed extraordinary zeal in their participation to make it a memorable afternoon filled with abundant joy. This program was made even more special for the first-year students as they received a warm welcome from their seniors.This was a delightful occasion where second year seniors and first year juniors warmly greeted each other and expressed their feelings through outstanding cultural performances.



Ms.Bandita Padhi and Mr. T. Bhabani Subhendu (MSc Zoology), and Ms. Shreya Das (MSc Microbiology) were MC and the opening song was sung by MSc Microbiology students, Smrutishree Mishra, Srabani Dash, Subhangi Pradhan, and Laxmipriya Jena. Odia Album actress, Ms. Pratiksha Mishra, was aspecial invited guest and she thrilled the students by dancing with them.The event was an amalgamation of music, dance and acting.



There was another fun-filled component in the program which was comprised of the selection of Mr. Balram Sahoo (MSc Botany) and Ms Deepsikha Nayak(MSc Microbiology) as Mr. and Ms. Fresher. This was done by seniors based onoriginality, aesthetics, creativity and overall presentation of the student performances.





The Registrar, Dr. Saraswat Mishra, addressed the students and expressed his happiness in his remarks regarding enthusiastic contribution of each and every student in making this event a great success. He also reminded students to show utmost sincerity and dedication to their studies, research work and academic career. Prof. Behera, Dean, SBH, while welcoming the students praised themand pointed out they all are founding stones in the future of the country and will definitely raise the spirit of the nation.

TARANG not only helped to bring all students together but also provided a wonderful opportunity to build a great sense of team spirit. Thediversity represented in AIPHU student community from various parts the country such as West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Telanganamade the event more vibrant and colourful!
