AIPHU Annual Research Poster Day 2022

 



AIPH University, well known for its research activities at an international level, held its Annual Research Poster Day on July 13, 2022.  This year, the event was organized by the Office of Research and Publications (ORP) and the graduate students who have the privilege of conducting their dissertation work under the guidance of experienced and well-trained faculty had a perfect opportunity to showcase their research work. 


 
These students were in their final year (MSc, MPH and MPT) and have been working on their research projects in the School of Biological Sciences, the School of Public Health and the School of Allied Health Sciences. These young scientists had an enriching experience in sharing their research work with their colleagues and scientific experts in a professional setting. 



The enthusiastic budding researchers for whom this was their first such exposure received valuable feedback, strengthened their communication skills and gained confidence. 

Dr. Pradipta R Rauta, Faculty In-Charge, ORP started the program with a welcome address. Dr. Prof. Niranjan Behera, Dean of the School of Biological Sciences, introduced the invited expert scientists who also served as the judges during the poster session.



The judges were:    Dr. Bimoch Projna Paty, Professor and Head, Department of Microbiology, Sri Jagannath Medical College & Hospital, Puri, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sundaray, Principal Scientist Cum Head, Division of Fish Genetics & Biotechnology, Central Institute of Fresh Water Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Amit Pritam Swain, Assistant Professor Cum Additional Medical Superintendent, Department of Community Medicine, Sri Jagannath Medical College & Hospital, Puri



The Honourable Vice-Chancellor Padma Shree Prof. Aditya Prasad Dash addressed the students and emphasized the importance of research experience and exposure for the young scientists. He shared a message on research and innovations in higher education and focus on research-oriented teaching in New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The students interacted informally with the judges and research experts at the end of the poster session. The research posters were evaluated for visual appearance, content and presentation skills of the students. Outstanding posters will be recognized with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize and presented to the students at a special ceremony later this week.
