On January 15, 2025, AIPH University hosted a welcome event for the Class of Zoology, Botany and Microbiology 2024. All final-year students from the School of Biological Sciences gathered to wish their juniors a heartfelt welcome. The whole student body was jubilant and showed remarkable fervour in their involvement to create a remarkable afternoon full of boundless happiness. The first-year students' warm reception from their seniors made this program even more memorable for them. It was a lovely event where first-year juniors and second-year seniors exchanged cordial greetings and wonderful cultural performances to convey their emotions. The event was hosted by Ms. Sasmita Senapati, Ms. Amrita Pradhan, Ms. Subhashree Sahoo and Mr. Arman Pattnaik. The program began with recitation of prayers by students and lamp lightening by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Usha Agrawal, AIPH University, Dean School of Biological Sciences Prof. Padan Kumar Jena and Dean School of Public Health and Management Prof. Pradeep Kumar Panda. The opening dance was performed by Ms. Lipsa Patel, Ms. Shradha Murmu and Ms. Prajyotika Priyadarshini followed a magnificent song performance by Ms. Samarprita Tripathi. The seniors had arranged a fun game programme followed by introduction and fun task for juniors, where juniors showed their talent and entertained the audience which was hosted by Sasmita, Amrita, Arman, Subhashree. The program also included a fun component where in Mr. Atul Krishna Tripathi of Zoology department and Ms. Anweshita Nayak of Botany department were chosen as Mr. and Ms. Fresher. Seniors and judges made this decision based on the student performances' overall presentation, originality, aesthetics, and inventiveness. The presence of our honourable guests, faculty members and their inspiring speech made the occasion even more memorable. The final-year MSc Microbiology, Zoology, and Botany students surprised the audience and contributed to the lively atmosphere with a group dance.
