
Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) University in collaboration with Sports Authority of India (SAI), Odisha marked International Women's Day with a week-long series of events from March 3rd to 9th, celebrating women's empowerment through diverse activities. The programme featured sessions on health, nutrition, self-defense, expert talks, and a harmonious musical yoga dance by the enthusiastic students. A special self-defense session was conducted on March 6th, emphasizing the importance of women's safety. Consequently, cycling event was organized at Lakheswar Women's College, Cuttack. The University also hosted the Deputy Director of SAI Shri Trailokyanath Sahoo who graced the concluding ceremony to motivate participants. The initiative included insightful discussions on the significance of a balanced diet, yoga's role in a healthy lifestyle, hands-on yoga workshops and a motivational session by social activist Mrs. Pramodini Roul. A dedicated training session by the Yoga Federation of Odisha was followed by a spirited competition, where winners were felicitated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of AIPHU, Dr. Usha Agrawal and President, YFO Shri Dibakar Srichandan. Prof. Dr. Dinesh Prasad Swain (Dept. of Yogic Sciences) and Dr. Munmun Panda(Asst. Professor) coordinated the programme for smooth functioning.The programme reaffirmed AIPH University's steadfast commitment to fostering women's empowerment and holistic well-being.
