Before working for AIPH Dr. R. Satpathy was Head of Pediatrics, Ispat general Hospital for 27 years. He has passed MBBS and DCH from VIMSAR (formerly VSS Med, College, Burla) in 1970 and 1975 respectively. This multi-specialty Hospital has 525 beds, a Pediatric and neonatal unit. From early period of work to office practice the area of interest included social pediatrics, epidemiology and field research in medicine. In association with NIH, UNICEF, BPNI and some overseas university large field research has been conducted from 2002 to 2014 and results have been published in many international journals. The Rourkela site office at IGH is responsible for conducting field studies and is managed by Dr. R. Satpathy.
