The programme aims to impart education exclusively with different aspects of plant sciences starting from Diversity of plants life, Taxonomy, Morphology, Anatomy, Physiology, Ecology to Molecular biology with both theoretical and practical exposure to the participating students with the existing laboratory and equipment facilities in the university. The skilled and motivating group of faculties will be disseminating the modern scientific and technological know-how to the students. The four semester Continuous Evaluation Programme intends to give adequate exposure to each student with the frontiers of plant sciences enabling them for placement at national level institutes.

  • A student shall be eligible to apply for admission to MSc Botany if he/she has completed a 3 years bachelor’s degree with Botany as Honours or Pass subject from a recognized institution/university.
  • Students appearing in the final qualifying examination may also apply. They are required to submit their qualifying degree certificate at the time of final admission.
  • While fillig up the online application form the students who are appearing in the final qualifying examination,  may give the marks/ CGPA of the last Semester for which the result has been published.
  • The selection of the eligible candidates for admission to Botany program will be based on career marks and performance in the entrance examination.

Master of Science (Botany) is a full time 2 years course

Selection is based on the academic credentials and performance in the Common Entrance Test
